Located in Gironde (South-West of France), Cussac-Fort Médoc is the city where was built the Fort Médoc by Duplessy and Ferry (under the direction of Vauban) in 1691. This site, with the Fort Paté (located on the Paté island) and the citadel of Blaye, complete the defensive system implemented to protect the estuary of Gironde.
